Hydrodermabrasion (Water Abrasion)
A deep cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate for an instant, healthy glow.
What is Hydrodermabrasion (Water Abrasion)
Hydrodermabrasion deeply cleanses, gently exfoliates and hydrates the skin in one relaxing session, using water rather than abrasive crystals. It is a lovely reset for tired or congested skin and suits most skin types.
A booster can be added to target a specific concern. You can go straight back to your day afterwards, with skin that feels fresh and looks glowing.
Benefits
- Cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates in one session
- Suits most skin types
- Optional booster for a specific concern
Every treatment starts with a consultation. Results vary from person to person, and we will always be honest about what is realistic for you.
What to expect
-
We start by looking at your skin and talking through what you would like from the session, whether that is congestion, dullness or dehydration. We also go through a few health questions and any recent treatments, so we can choose the right serums and settings for you.
-
Your skin is cleansed and gently exfoliated, then a handpiece lifts away debris while hydrating serums are worked into the skin. Most people find it comfortable and quite relaxing, with a cool, slightly ticklish sensation rather than anything sharp. The session runs to about 45 minutes.
-
Your session finishes with an LED step, a serum and a mask to calm and nourish the skin. Downtime is minimal, so most people head straight back to their day. We suggest keeping to gentle products and daily sunscreen for the next day or two.
-
Most people find their skin looks brighter and feels hydrated the same day, although how noticeable that is varies from person to person. If you would like to keep it up, a course of four sessions is £350, and we will suggest sensible spacing for your skin.
Frequently
asked questions
Everything you may want to know about hydrodermabrasion (water abrasion) before your visit.
Most people find it comfortable and quite relaxing. The handpiece feels like cool water and gentle suction moving over the skin, and there are no needles involved. If anything feels uncomfortable at any point, say so and we will adjust it.
About 45 minutes. That covers the cleanse, the gentle exfoliation and the hydrating steps, plus the LED step with a serum and mask to finish. A single session is £110, and a course of four is £350.
Downtime is minimal. Some people look a little pink for a short while, but most go straight back to work or out for the evening. We suggest gentle products and daily sunscreen for a day or two, and leaving strong exfoliating actives until your skin has settled.
Most people notice a difference the same day, with skin looking brighter and feeling smoother and more hydrated. How noticeable that is, and how long it lasts, varies from person to person. It is a refresh rather than a long-term change to the skin, so results are not permanent.
That depends on your skin and what you want from it. Some people book one before an event, while others have it regularly to keep their skin in good condition, which is why we offer a course of four at £350. We will suggest a sensible spacing for you at your appointment.
It suits most skin types, and the serums and settings can be adjusted for skin that reacts easily. It is not right for everyone though, for example if you have an active skin infection, sunburn or a flare-up in the area. Tell us about your skin history and any recent treatments and we will advise at your consultation.
